I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now, confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. 吃餃子這個規矩不明白是誰定的。可是，自我出生以來就有。記得小時候媽媽把餃子里放上硬幣大小不一。有一塊的、五毛的，甚至還有一分的。其實只為圖個吉利。預示來年順順利利。
還有放鞭炮。記得小時候爸爸帶我放鞭炮，雖然震得耳朵都疼了可是還是很開心。那一鞭鞭的紅鞭炮好像紅紅的大蜈蚣，又像小女孩長長的辮子染成了紅紅的顏色。霹靂啪了的聲音讓我的心里都沸騰了。
還有幾個不成文的規定是：在大年初一的那天，太陽出來之前必須不能開柜子、拿剪刀等等。因為開了柜子會招老鼠，拿了剪刀不明白會怎樣，可是必須不能拿的。
還有過年必須要守歲的，除夕夜晚全家人一齊看春晚。雖然會有點無聊可是還得一齊守歲。在鐘聲想起的時候才能入眠。這個其實也有點幸福啦。

每年除夕，人們都開始為新年做準備。他們在家里掛燈籠貼對聯打掃衛生。做好一切準備后，我開始圍著一張桌子吃美味的年夜飯。雖然是“年夜飯”，但從下午4點左右開始，而不是通常的晚餐時間，所以午餐被沖走了。但是覺得可以吃年夜飯，忍忍就值得了。
吃完后，人們開始長時間的“守夜”，通常會持續到元旦0點，甚至徹夜不眠。在此期間，人們可以看《春晚》，放鞭炮趕走“年獸”，直到春節的鐘聲響起。
大年初一，人們穿上新衣服，大人給孩子壓歲錢，讓他們安穩一年。這一天，全家人應該一起行動。像我們湖南人都會去廟會，那里的年味很濃郁。孩子們可以在廟會上買到許多小手工藝品和美食，如“兔子葉兒”、“吹糖人”、“糖葫蘆”，而成年人則可以看到“京劇”、“花鼓戲”、“變臉”、“雜技”等五顏六色的中國傳統戲劇，這些戲劇受到了反復的掌聲。
其中，我們的孩子最喜歡的是糖葫蘆。這個廟會的糖葫蘆比普通的糖葫蘆好很多，路邊的糖葫蘆不是太甜就是太酸，失去了魅力。不過這個廟會的糖葫蘆，剛開始吃起來是甜的，打開糖皮之后是酸的。這樣酸酸甜甜的味道刺激你嘴里的味蕾，然后你嚼著香脆的糖皮和山楂粉。好吃的味道無法用語言來形容！

In my opinion ,the Spring Festival as the most influential traditional festival have important meaning for us .Several days before the new year， people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs，sheep，cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned； coupletsare (春聯)posted on the doors. Colorful lanterns are hung at the gate.All family members will get together on New Year Eve to have a big meal . During which people do not work except for the workers on duty.
